Reset!

By Nina McIntosh Ragland, KeepersoftheGarden

I am patiently waiting my overnight flight from Arizona back to the Jersey Shore that is my home, I am filled with gratitude.

Grateful, to have had a month vacation! God allowed me time to be replenished, renewed and revived. I had coffee with Father in the mornings,I talked and listened. I waited, anticipating Him to speak to me, Abba meet me there. What I have confirmation of, is rest is mandatory, the Sabath must happen, social Saturday is now a thing. Downtime is a part of my maintenance. Fun is a part of my self care.

We are the  masterpiece that is the “Keeper of the Garden”. We were always the strategic plan. The caretaker being the one assigned to give physical, emotional and spiritual support. Eve was created in the garden, taken from man’s ribs to not only be his companion but his helpmate. God did not change His mind about who He created us to be. The load on our shoulders is heavy but the good news is,

“he will give you rest.”

“take his yoke upon you and you will find rest.”

           Matt 11:29~30

Rest our cares in Him, it’s biblical. Find rest in the word and apply it to your life. What we have to remember “is to be a doer of the word”. James 1:22-25 We can not afford to be casual and  cliche with the divine revelation of the Bible.

The world is in transformation to an end of time day, which is the war of good and evil, seen and unseen.

You however must have balance to be effective. I am encouraging you to do something fun tomorrow, go for a drive, do nothing or do something you like and haven’t done in a while. Yes, I know what Colossians 3:2 says but I am not suggesting your life focus changes from the calling. I am only encouraging that something’s be included to give you balance and a reset.

“Do something fun,go for a drive, catch a movie or do something you like.”
